Grief is a natural process that is painful and personal. Grief allows a person to come to terms with a significant loss, and make sense of their new reality. For some it can become overwhelming and develop into depression or anxiety, so it’s important to recognize personal stressors and triggers.
This CBT exercise helps you identify your triggers and coping skills for upsetting and problematic behaviors.
Directions: In the spaces below, identify your 3 strongest triggers. For each trigger, identity the coping skill that helps you the most when trying to overcome them.
